A Tribute to Maddie

I first read of Maddie on April 27, 2001. By April 29, she was gone. To end her suffering, she was sent to the Rainbow Bridge with the help of people who loved her. This brave girl suffered horrible abuse and neglect and it was her "owners" that killed her.

If I live a thousand lifetimes, I will never understand how anyone could do this to a dog, one of God's most noble creatures. Or abuse any animal who are all God's creatures. Let Maddie's death not be in vain. We must increase our efforts to end this sort of animal cruelty. Maybe someday mankind will be worthy of the term noble. Not now, though.
